Queen Mathilde of Belgium dazzles in a tiara packed with 200 diamonds in Tokyo


Despite being royalty it isn’t often that you will spot a queen or princess in a tiara so Queen Mathilde’s glittering headpiece is sure to be a sight for sore eyes.

The queen of Belgium stepped out in a dazzling tiara packed with 200 diamonds as she joined husband King Philippe, 56, for a state dinner in Tokyo.

All eyes were sure to be on the 43-year-old royal as she arrived at the ceremonial occasion in Japan’s capital.

The mother-of-four looked resplendent in a floor length bronze gown complete with intricate embroidery and a ceremonial sash.

Keeping her hair out of her face in order to showcase her dazzling smile the queen opted for a polished chignon for the event.
