Ooh! Aah! Fireworks light up Tustin on Fourth of July
It’s the biggest event of summer: Fourth of July, honoring our country’s independence.
Tustin, as always, will celebrate in style. Come to the Tustin High football field, 1171 El Camino Real, for free entertainment beginning at 6 p.m.
Pack a picnic or purchase food and drinks from the school’s booster club. Bring along some non-perishable food items for Operation Warm Wishes to donate to homeless and disadvantaged veterans
Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. — all leading up to a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Music under the stars
One of the best things about summer is enjoying bands in the park all over Orange County.
Tustin’s very own Concerts in the Park take place from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday in Peppertree Park, 230 West 1st St., through Aug. 9.
Pack a picnic or buy food from local vendors. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Toss a ball with the kids. And then just sit back and relax.
The free concerts offer a variety of music, so you’re sure to find your genre:
June 29: Smith the Band (country)
July 5: Mirage (Fleetwood Mac tribute)
July 12: The Who Generation
July 19: Jumping Jack Flash (Rolling Stones tribute)
