And David Walliams appeared to give his mother Kathleen another reason to beam with pride as she watched him meet Queen Elizabeth II in London on Tuesday night.
The 45-year-old funnyman bowed and shook hands with the monarch during a reception and awards ceremony at the Royal Academy of Arts – and his proud parent was on hand to watch the friendly exchange.
