Jack Wilshere could yet decide to make a deadline day loan switch to Bournemouth despite being in advanced talks with Crystal Palace.
Alan Pardew’s Palace are still the overwhelming front runners to sign the midfielder and their London location means little upheaval for the midfielder.
The Cherries, though, are making a strong play for Wilshere. Ironically, former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe could be the key to persuading the 24-year-old to move to the south coast.
