African-Americans and their role in the Civil War

CHATHAM — In collaboration with the Chatham Bookstore, Camphill Ghent welcomed author Ann-Elizabeth Barnes to discuss her new book, “The Rev. Samuel Harrison: Abolitionist, Activist, and Chaplain of the Massachusetts 54th, the First Black Regiment Raised in the North to fight in the Civil War” on Sunday afternoon.

The event consisted a discussion about the book, as well as a Q&A session with Thomas Chulak, owner of the Chatham Book Store, and other participating audience members.
