Pantaleo, Russell Earn Top-Six Freestyle Finishes at U.S. Open – Michigan Wrestling

Alec Pantaleo April 30, 2017 LAS VEGAS, Nev. — University of Michigan junior wrestler Alec Pantaleo took fifth place in his senior-level freestyle debut at 70kg/154 pounds, while volunteer coach Kellen Russell claimed sixth at 65kg/143 pounds at the U.S. Open Championships, held Friday and Saturday (April 28-29) at South Point Arena. With their finishes, both earned automatic qualifiers to the U.S. World Team Trials.
